Movers and Shakers (AGAIN!)

So, we've moved.  Yet again.  We might actually stay at this location longer than a year!  Yipee!

We now live in Utah.  Something that I told Stephen I would NEVER do.  I also made him promise I would continue with my degree before we started a family.  That didn't happen either.  I also said I would NEVER get married at 18 because only stupid girls did that.  Oops.  I also said I would NEVER attend ASU and yet it was the only school I applied to.  Apparently whenever I say I will NEVER do something that just means I WILL actually do it.

I will NEVER be a billionaire.

Hey, a girl can hope, right?!

One day I will get around to posting pictures, but the house we will be moving into isn't finished yet.  Stephen has been diligently working on that while I have been working.  The house has gone through quite the transformation; but not without it's ups and downs (haha.  that is such an understatement!)

Now I bet you want to know where I'm working?!  Or that's probably too narcissistic of me.  You probably didn't even notice.  But I'll tell you anyway.  Cause I'm nice like that.

I work at Hobby Lobby. Yup.  It's awesome.  I work in the custom framing department and truthfully?  So far I love it.  I had to take a math test and I did awesomely well.  They were all surprised with how quickly and accurately I finished.  Then they read that almost all my former jobs were as math tutors.  While they were checking my answers I made a math joke with them that I am sure went over their heads.

I can totally tell that I work in Utah.  For the background music, they play LDS hymns about half of the time.  And in just one day of working I heard multiple conversations that were Mormon-related.

"Bishop!  What are you doing here?"

"Mom, I don't care what ward he's moving into, I don't want to date him!"

haha.  I love it.

So while Stephen finishes the house, we've been living with his family.  It's been awesome!  I love making dinner with other people.  And we've been able to have game night almost every night.  IV LOVES his cousin Zinnidee.  He calls her Zinni and it's about the cutest thing ever.  (pronounced Zin-knee! with an emphasis on the knee).  She's not yet one and IV adores her.  He gives her multiple hugs a day which almost always involves her falling over afterwards.  And when he hears her on the monitor he gets really upset until we go and get her.  They love to play "Ditch"  or where Zinni will come to get him and he will run away giggling.  Then she'll play with something else and he'll call her name until she crawls after him again.  Adorable.

oh yeah.  The house will are moving into is in SLC.  Sugar House to be exact.  I am soo stoked!  I have ALWAYS wanted to live in that neighborhood!  Sweet!  One day I'll post pictures, but not today because I left work early cause I am sick.  Running to the bathroom every 10 minutes isn't my idea of a fun day a work.  TMI?  Maybe.  Cause I'm nice like that.

Movers and Shakers

We're moving!  On Saturday we're moving to Mesa.

This will be the fourth place we've lived in the three years we've been married.  And our shortest move, yay!

I remember when we were living in our first apartment and Stephen said that he was ready to move somewhere and stay there.  Yeah, it seems like that is never going to happen.  We have a nine-month lease and then we'll move where ever Stephen gets a job.  The company Stephen is looking into applying for once he graduates has a two-year "training period" in which you have two six month moves.  Oh, and all the main locations are not near by.  That will make it seven places we will live in six years.  Yikes.

We're both ready to settle down and plant some roots, but moving to new places can be fun and exciting too and it seems as if we're in the "moving and shaking" season of our lives.  I'll post pictures of the new place once we're all settled in.  It has a 1 3/4 bath, and they're in the same room.  Meaning there's one toilet, two sinks flanking it, and then a tub on either side, so two tubs in the one bathroom.  Funny huh?

In the meantime I've been packing and laundering.  I am sure going to miss having a washer and dryer!

Moving

It's official... we're now in Phoenix!! After more than three weeks of traveling, living out of suitcases, and spending days straight in a car we are all so thankful to be done unpacking and repacking. Stephen the Kid who used to love riding in the car absolutely HATES being in his car seat.

Pictures will follow once we've really settled down and are more unpacked. As of now we're not living out of suitcases but are still mostly living out of our storage unit. What a fun change.

We'll be here for two years while the hubby gets his Master's degree from ASU. After that who knows. One thing is certain, after traveling all over the country for the past year, I have decided that Arizona is not where I want to end up. I would love to live in either Missouri or Oregon and I believe III agrees with me too.

Additional changes in our lives include a truck for Stephen, a possible change in Major for me (but I'm waiting a year at least to gain residency and decide what to do before going back to college), and I'm now a guest blogger over at my sisters' crafty blog Roots and Wings Co.

As we are no longer in Texas anymore, my name for this blog no longer makes sense. I was debating just changing the name, but really now that we are much closer to our friends and families I am undecided on whether or not I should even continue on with this blog. Hmmm...more on that later.

First week in Texas

We had finally made it into Texas when Stephen noticed this unusual sight off to the side of the road in the middle of a field. We knew we had to check it out. Needless to say it was RIDICULOUSLY windy. I felt as though I was going to be swept away by the wind.
Here's us in front of the rental house we are living in. I am SO glad we were able to move into this place, I'll have to post pictures of the other two rental properties we were considering. Once we saw this house the other two were out of the question!
