I've seen other people posting their pumpkin patch photos and I have to laugh. In AZ we would still be sweating our shoes off, but here we all wore our snow gear. There wasn't snow on the ground but don't be deceived - it was so cold! I think the high was in the low 40s. Crazy.
It had rained all day yesterday and I didn't want to push the double stroller through the mud. Instead I used my sister's moby wrap (thanks Anjeanette!). Carrying Adelaide, the diaper bag and two pumpkins was quite the feat. I am totally down for a long winter's nap!
We went to Black Island Farm and it was awesome! They had a train for the little kids, a corn box(instead of a sandbox), pig races, slides, a bounce house, tons of hay bales to climb, a corn maze, a farmer's market and tons more.
Stephen's favorite was a little building that had a makeshift drum set, chimes, and the old farm equipment to drum on like frying pans, racks, and a shovel. He kept going back there and saying,"I have to do a show mom". "come watch my show.". Too cute!
Little guy would NOT go on the bounce house or the train ride. I was surprised since he LOVES bounce houses but because it was so cold they didn't make the kids take their shoes off and it was dirty. My son hates dirt. As soon as he went inside he screamed "There's a messy mess in here" and I had to take him out. He's done this before when we are visiting other people's homes. If their house is messy he freaks out. Once he wouldn't sit on a couch that had some stains. It's pretty embarrassing. Some moms were concerned he was hurt but I shrugged it off saying "He just hates dirt...we're obviously city folk."
Overall we loved the pumpkin patch, and yay for real fall weather. Now I must take a nap.
